For the latest installment of Don’t Watch That‘s Beat This series, Keiran Hebden aka Four Tet created a beat from Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Taking samples from the vinyl record and putting them into Ableton Live, Hebden made a pretty great beat in less than 10 minutes (go to 11:04 for the final product). Watch Here

This weekend’s football battle between Ohio State and Iowa featured a little something extra at halftime. The Ohio State marching band did a tribute to Michael Jackson unlike any band performance I’ve ever seen before. The clip starts out with some nice formations including the letters ‘BAD’, but you are going to want to stay tuned until around the 4 minute mark when the band FORMS THE BODY OF MICHAEL JACKSON AND DOES THE MOONWALK. Back in 1983 Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson collaborated in a recording session featuring the duo singing There Must Be More to Life Than This, State of Shock and Victory that has unfortunately never seen the light of day. Queen members Brian Taylor and Roger May are working to resolve that and release them this fall. The reason the project was never completed originally?  Michael Jackson brought a llama to the studio. READ MORE
